It’s Snowing!

Join us for a winter wonderland at Blackpool’s Tower Festival Headland from November 15 to January 5.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

If you live in Blackpool or visit often in the Winter you’ll know that because of its proximity to the coast it doesn’t snow much here. Our household gets very excited if it starts snowing! I still remember the Winter of 1979 when I was a young lass (showing my age ????). The snow was amazing!

So failing the real thing – although who knows, you might get lucky – Christmas by the Sea includes it’s very own simulated snow maker. The word here is “simulated.” This isn’t like the snow created at ski resorts. According to the council website “regular snowfalls will be bursting out of our special cannons near the projection unit on the Headland throughout the evening.” We’re not sure how often these happen but if you’re there long enough I’m sure you’ll experience this.

Artificial Snow FAQs

Other Christmas by the Sea Attractions

Artificial snow not doing it for you? Perhaps free ice skating, a few beers, mulled wine or sweet treats are more your thing. You can find food and drink delights in the Christmas Chalets or enjoy the fairground rides. Maybe save that beer and wine until after the ride! Also as a head’s up, the council won’t allow you to skate if you’ve had a few either so save your mulled wine until later maybe.
