Join us for a winter wonderland at Blackpool’s Tower Festival Headland from November 15 to January 5.

Let it Shine!

It wouldn’t be Blackpool if there wasn’t some glitz and shine. Just a few minutes walk south of the main attraction you’ll find the light installations. These are in the form of two giant illuminated baubles and 7 metre long tunnel (called Spiro) which is illuminated by 7000 tiny baubles that you can walk through.

When these are working these make a great photo op.

Where are the light installations?

They are a few minutes walk south of the main attractions, beyond the Star Flyer ride.

Are they illuminated all the time?

They seem to be turned on just in the evening. One of the times I was there, they were only partly illuminated so be prepared for them not to be fully working.

Prefer to stay at the main attractions? There’s still plenty to do. There’s free ice skating, and beers and mulled wine or. You can find food and drink delights in the Christmas Chalets or enjoy the fairground rides.
